Located in the southeast section of the Adirondack State Park, Stony Creek is the “Biggest Little Town in New York State.” With 6½ million acres, it is the largest state park in the country.
Summer band concerts are held in Stony Creek Town Park pavilion every Tuesday night at 7:00 pm from July – August. There is music for every taste. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
The Annual Stony Creek Mountain Days Festival runs the first weekend in August and includes a softball game and concert Saturday, and the New York State Lumberjack Competitions, craft and food vendors, children's free activities and more on Sunday.
Stony Creek is about 30 miles from the cities of Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs and less than 25 miles from Lake George and Gore Mt. Ski Area. For the outdoor loving person, Stony Creek has many lakes, rivers, streams, mountain trails and quiet secondary roads providing an abundance of recreational activities.
