Reading the reviews we were not expecting much going into this hotel, but it was nothing like the reviews! The staff at the front desk were really nice, the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly as well. We didn’t have any bugs in our room, and our floor and bathroom were new. We were on the ninth floor of the oceanfront, and the view we had was amazing. There were people smoking on the balcony below us, which was slightly annoying. The location is so great because you don’t have to drive and pay for parking by the beach. There aren’t a lot of hotels that let below 21 check in, so this is perfect if you’re in college! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if under 21! Not 5 stars because of the non enforced smoking rule and the indoor pool wasn’t great.
We have been renting a room here for a little over a month Spending a great deal of money. We had been in one room next door that ended up having a massive water leak and black mold all over the place . They made us switch to the Polynesian , never accommodated us with any money back , charged us an extra deposit on top of the $200 we already had down and on when we got over here we were told they don't give sheets, blankets or towels ZERO Incidentals for people who rent monthly! So you spend more money and what do you get ???Nothing. Our room smells like weed constantly because other people are smoking in their rooms and it comes through the vents , we have seen roaches , and lost money in the vending machines and washer and dryer and they won't reimburse us. We are stuck because they told us we won't get our money back if we want to leave early. I will be finding another place to stay when our month is up here. I will also be talking to the health dept. The other room before we knew about all the black mold myself and my kids all were sick and needed inhalers. Take my word this place is not worth it if you are looking for a longer term rent besides a week or less. It seems that since we brought all of our concerns up to the staff who also have not been very nice we have been treated even worse. There are many places to stay on the strip just skip this one!! I would also love to know who actually owns this place because I would love to speak to them !! They aren't even accredited with the BBB!
Room was clean, plenty of washcloths & towels, all pools & hot tub was open.staff was friendly. We were on the first floor I usually stay on the 6th floor but it was a very pleasant experience staying on the first floor.wr had an ocean front room we could see everything from the first four. Easy access to beach & street. Parking was good plenty of spaces. Luggage carts were available.
This place is a dive and you will freeze your ass off if you are staying during cold months. All the doors and windows need weather stripping and treatment. The wall units max out at 85 degrees and although you would think this was incredibly hot we were cold in our room most of the time. We had to ask for blankets because the bedspreads were like a thin curtain. If you're on the younger side and want to party without being hassled stay at this place.
This review is not for the faint of heart—because neither was my stay. I checked into the Polynesian Oceanfront Hotel on April 9 at exactly 4 PM. Stephen at the front desk was polite and professional—shoutout to him for being the last thing that made sense during this entire stay. Right after that, it went downhill fast. We were slapped with an unexpected $100 cash-only deposit because we booked through Booking.com. In 2025. Cash only. Like it’s a speakeasy. Had to use the busted little ATM in the lobby just to check in. We spent $250 for 4 days and 3 nights, and it felt like I paid to audition for an episode of Hotel Hell: Extreme Edition. Let’s run the highlights: • No heat in the room when we arrived. Maintenance showed up hours later after we layered up like it was Antarctica. • Only one TV in a split room. Not family-friendly, just family-feud inducing. • The peep hole was so wide, you could poke your entire finger through it. We taped it shut like we were prepping for a storm. • The floors were uneven and creaky, like a haunted funhouse minus the fun. • The toilet wouldn’t flush unless we manually added water. Yes, like pioneers. • The shower had two options: cold and lukewarm. Hot water didn’t even wave at us. • The AC unit was mounted so high it required Olympic-level reach to adjust it. • The only outlet that worked was in the bathroom. So we had to use the microwave and coffee maker beside the toilet. Health codes? Never heard of ’em. • The kitchen had ZERO outlets. Not one. Just vibes and disappointment. • We were handed two actual metal keys. Not keycards. Not digital. Literal jangly keys from a motel thriller. • There was a steep step walking into the room, which is just begging to trip a toddler or twist an ankle. Be careful if you have kids or knees. • The hot tub was just a bathtub trying its best. Warm at best. Sad always. • And the final straw? One of the beds folded in on itself when we laid down. Not broke down—folded. Like it was giving up right along with me. This wasn’t a vacation—it was a trust exercise I did not sign up for. Would I ever stay again? Absolutely not. I wouldn’t even let my worst enemy book this room. They say you get what you pay for… but in this case, we paid and still got played. And yes—I have photos, videos, and trauma to back it all up.
Do NOT stay here. It’s disgusting. There’s mold all over the pillows, cigarettes butts inside the ac units making the whole room smell, stains all over the sheets, hair on the towels, dirty showers. Our balcony door would barely open because it was broke, food was left on the floor from previous guest. I get that it’s cheap but this is just disgusting!
While I checked in, I was told there was a $100 cash deposit after I had already paid. Granted, I am supposed to receive that back upon check out. However, the beds are hard, our door handle fell off, very outdated, fan doesn't work in the bathroom, kitchen sink is loose, outlets are loose, some outlets do not work, and 4 towels/6 hand towels/1 washcloth. On a good note, the pillows are comfy, and the maintenance guy came right up to fix the door handle!
I know this isn't a 5 star hotel. However for the money, you ain't going to get better. This place is trying to improve and the staff is friendly. The ocean front rooms are way better than the other rooms. However every hotel is like that.
