Really enjoyed this place. Booked a 3 bedroom villa and received villa 5 which was beachfront and easy walking to the pool and bar. The amenities and service at this place are great. Only complaint is that there is not enough chairs and umbrellas on the sand or by the beach and you get the folks who go out there at 6:30am and put towels down so there are no chairs by 10am and never show up all day. The villa was very comfortable and well located on the property. Actually, there is probably not a bad location on the property. Ate one dinner at the Butterfly Cafe where service was a tad slow but the food was great. Our villa dishwasher broke but a new one was installed within a few hours and it literally saved our whole vacation as we used the kitchen and dishwasher nightly. Bring your own condiments if you can as there is none in the villas. Also, bring hangers too as each room only has 8 per closet. We needed more. Would definitely come back here again. Its also very well located in the middle of the keys if you want to explore up to the Everglades and down to Key West. Love that they had an adults only pool, family pool and lagoon to swim in.
We stayed at Tranquility Bay March 2025 and it exceeded all of our expectations and was perfect for our family. The property was so well-kept (although villas were slightly outdated, that was just fine) and overall all had such a relaxing vibe to every space. We were there during prime Spring Break when the resort was full, but never at any time did we feel over crowded or like space was tight at the pools or beach areas. All of the people at the resort were respectful of one another's space and you could tell that everyone there had the same intent to enjoy their time in Marathon. A couple of things that I think are helpful to note:||- Dining is expensive on site. Having the kitchen in the Villas was useful in not having to spend an excess on every meal. We dined down the street at The Lighthouse, which was beautiful and had premium food and the cost was similar to what we spent at the Tiki Bar.|- There is so much to do in Marathon that I would have loved to have an on-site concierge to consult with an talk through options and get real local recommendations.||Also- the yoga sessions on Thursday and Sunday were amazing! The instructor was calming, but also had such a welcoming and cheerful personality. I encourage anyone to give the session a try, no matter your experience. It was the perfect start to the day!||I would recommend this place 100x over again for anyone. No matter what type of experience you are looking for, you will be able to find it at Tranquility.
Unless you want to get completely ripped off from every angle, avoid this place at all cost. First of all, pictures look a lot better than the rooms. It’s essentially a dated place with mediocre updates. Kitchens aren’t outfitted for cooking, the bathrooms are small and old. Beds aren’t even comfortable. The set up is living in a fishbowl courtyard.|We went and they had charged us for an extra night. We had to fight to get that back. So we canceled the reservation that we had to go back the next month. And they have a 15 page cancellation policy that’s impossible to understand. They said that we prepaid instead of reserved and therefore we could not cancel and we were charged over $1000 for a night that was a $600 night room. I’m fighting with them on the credit card but watch for all the extra fees extra charges rip off restaurant prices. Yes, the beach with the sunset view is rare in the keys, but the beach stinks with stuff washing up, and it is overrun with too many people.|The people at the front desk were obnoxious and service was terrible. Cleaning was not thorough. There are other nice places and in fact another very nice resort with better pricing and better rooms down the road. And a better beach and sunset view. Go for that, avoid this terrible place..
Great resort. Gabriel (front desk) was fantastic. Sunday morning Yoga was just what the doctor ordered. Clean pool. Clean beaches. Main restaurant was excellent which it should be for that kind of $$$$. The Tiki Bar food was quite lame. Please stop serving those multi-colored chips with that store-bought guac. Everything else was great.
Great resort. 6 of our family stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean view villa which was very spacious and beautiful. Great service and the grounds were well kept. The large pool and the beach were the grandkids favorites. Marathon has many great restaurants which we tried every day. We also ate at the TiKi bar twice which was nice. Would recommend Tranquility Bay Resort highly.
Overall a very nice place a tad expensive but everything today is expensive unless you stay home!|Family pool was very nice and tiki bar and activity’s were good. Great ride from Miami AP. And great ride to Key West for a day, restaurant on site was great and staff was nice and helpful for advice about off site restaurants and best days to travel into key west. Our villa was in good shape no complaints, the water views and location to the pool and beach were all good. Our biggest disappointment was the beach they have a heavy sea grass that builds up on the shore edge and it doesn’t make for a pleasant experience if you want to go in and out of the water. They remove some of it daily but they have restrictions on how much and what they do with it for environmental reasons. The beach it self was nice enough it was just the disappointment of not entering the water without having to go through this not so pleasant sea grass that washes up daily.
Relaxing and rejuvenating. Natalie was an excellent and patient instructor. It was a very warm and welcoming environment. They were people of all ages and abilities. I would definitely recommend going to this session. I will plan to go again and encourage others to come as well. .
Our stay at Tranquility Bay was wonderful. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need or want at all times. Our 2 bedroom villa was perfect...and very Clean. The kitchen was stocked with utensils...there was even a blender. Beds were comfortable and I slept soundly. The grounds of the resort are meticulously groomed daily. Pure paradise! The only down side was leaving. I will come back to Tranquility Bay as often as possible. I highly recommend this resort, you will not be disappointed.
