What an incredibly beautiful hotel! I love that the daily fee can be used as a credit for food or beverage! This was incredibly convenient as their bar made some of the best spicy margaritas I’ve ever had! A great place to stay in the perfect location. Highly recommend for your trip to New York! This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.
Every time I visit New York, this hotel is my top choice, and once again, it did not disappoint. The service is consistently outstanding, the rooms are elegant and comfortable, and the location is perfect for both business and leisure. A special thank you to Annmara Gayle, Guest Relations Officer, whose warm and professional approach made my stay even more enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, and I truly appreciated her kindness and attentiveness. The team at the Club reception was also fantastic, always welcoming and helpful. It's this level of hospitality that keeps me coming back. Looking forward to my next stay!
My recent stay at the InterContinental Barclay NYC was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s timeless elegance, warm atmosphere, and impeccable service. The location is unbeatable—close to everything, yet tucked away enough to feel like a quiet retreat from the city buzz. A special thank you to Sophy, who went above and beyond to make our experience truly memorable. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel incredibly welcomed and well taken care of. Whether it was helping with reservations, local tips, or just checking in to ensure we were comfortable, Sophy was absolutely wonderful. We look forward to returning and highly recommend the Barclay to anyone visiting New York City.
This is the 3rd time we have had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel. To stay anywhere else in New York is not an option for my family. With all of our trips including our latest, we have had O complaints. It is run like a well oiled machine. The service, cleanliness and food service is beyond reproach. Location wise it seems as though all the hotspots in NY are 10 min away or less. Love Love Love this hotel and all who so faithfully work there. See u Next Time!!!!!
I booked my reservation through Egencia for a 2 night stay. Received an upgrade offer in the app after I booked, which I accepted. The day before the arrival date, I find out that somehow my reservation was modified when I accepted the upgrade offer. How could that happen, I do not know. I ended up having to pay about USD700 more than expected due to this issue and both the staff and the manager had zero interest in helping me out. Despite availability of rooms, they would not accomodate my request to modify the reservation when I called a day earlier than my original check in date. Terrible experience as a customer despite the really high standards of the hotel. I feel like you really failed at hospitality and tried to protect revenue. Will never stay again.
Wonderful stay! Awesome staff. Sophy at check in was so kind and personable. Every team member I encountered said hello and showed a wonderful attention to detail. Hotel is located around office buildings, so finding restaurants took a little bit of work. But the hotel is a very easy walk to Grand Central which makes getting anywhere in NYC very easy.
I stayed at this hotel for about three days during my visit to New York, and it was such a great, satisfying experience. The room was clean, everything was spotless, and the location was excellent with easy access to various places. Most of all, the customer service was outstanding. Her name was Shauna, and she was incredibly helpful! Whenever I had an issue, she always treated me with kindness and attentiveness. I really want to praise her. I believe she made this trip even more special for me.
The overall experience at the Barclay was exceptional. This is a classic hotel in NYC. Upon arrival, you will experience the nostalgia of a classic New York experience. The decoration of the hotel is beautiful. The rooms were small, but very well decorated. Everything in the room worked and it was extremely clean. The bed was super comfortable. My only criticism is all three Peloton bikes in the gym were inoperative or had safety issues and should have been marked or removed from the gym. The details matter for any hotel at this price point, especially Intercontinental Hotels. Otherwise, I highly recommend this property and we will be back.
