This has easily been the worst hotel experience my family has ever had. First after booking what we thought was a good deal at check in they told us that if we wanted to be on main campus it was $133 more. (It was hidden in fine print). Our room was not good not even average. One bed still had the original mattress You could literally feel the springs. The toilet had not been scrubbed in weeks and the room itself was pretty beat up. There were no hand towels to which we called down and waited over an hour for some. They brought us bath towels instead. After quiet time (10 pm) our hall way was a raceway for kids until about midnight with no help from front desk. They failed to pick up phone after we tried several times. The next day I called to ask about switching rooms to which they stated we could to a different building further away and no discount or refund would be given. On the second night the fire alarms went off at 2:30 am leading everyone to go to lobby and wait for the all clear. Check out is 10am so if you want to go to park in the morning of departure they charge for your late check out. Nicole and domed that made our stay more expensive than the nicer hotel theme parks in the dells. The waterpark is nice but will never give this place another dollar.
For the price, it was an amazing deal! My kids had an absolute blast during their spring break at Mt. Olympus Park. The variety of attractions offered kept them entertained all day, from the thrilling rides to the exciting water park. The staff was friendly, and the park was clean, making the experience all the more enjoyable. Considering the cost, I felt it was a fantastic value, and the kids definitely made memories they’ll talk about for a long time. Would definitely recommend it for families looking for a fun and affordable day out!
Positive: All staff people are great--very helpful. Easy check in and out. The waterpark is a lot of fun; it will be even better in the summer. Negative: Guests left wet towels and food wrappers in the elevator. My grandkids and I cleaned it up--twice. There was a bit of sand or some debris at the bottom of the hot tub. The inside of the green slide looked like it needed a good scrubbing with bleach.
Overall stay was OK. Indoor waterpark was fun however, the lazy river should have single rider inner tubes, it would not be as crowded. The two rider ones are OK if two people are on them, but if only one person is riding, then it just takes up more space and a lot of bumping into each other. Also wish there was a coffee maker in the room. Arcade was not good. There was only one game, which was the rock climbing that was geared towards my teenage grandkids. Also, I was there for three nights and four days, and no one cleaned the entranceway cigarette butts everywhere. There should be an outdoor butt can. Also, shower drain was clogged.. someone did come to fix it. I would go back again, the kids did have fun.
Wonderful experience at Mt Olympus for our family spring break trip. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the waterpark, indoor theme park and arcade were so fun for the family. I was a little skeptical since the price was so much lower than the other resorts in the area but it did not disappoint. Family had a great time and we will be going back in the summer to check out the outdoor waterpark!
I stayed this weekend in building 39. Like many others I was dumbfounded when I found out it was not a “resort” and a motel instead. In the website it literally indicates we are booking a resort. To say the least, this “resort” was disgusting. Don’t even look at the matters because it had black stains either from bed bugs or bold. The website is truly false advertising. Room is filled with bugs as I got home I found a beetle in my house and perhaps 2 beg bugs. Never staying at mt Olympus again especially building 39. Filthy.
We enjoyed our room the kids really thought the loft bed was the coolest. Water park was clean and bathrooms was kept up the whole time. We thought the birthday decorations on door was a nice setup. Colorful too! Laundry facilities on premises is a great help.
I didnt realize the buildings were not in the same area as the water park(s). It was also very confusing to find the building for check in when we first arrived. Then we needed to drive to an over crowded parking lot to get to the indoor water park. I am dissatisfied with the room: no hand towels, we even requested them and none were delivered, had to use the washcloths for hand towels during our 2 night stay. No toilet paper holder or kleenex box. There wasn't an ice machine in Building 23 either. There is worn carpet on the steps. We didn't have a coffee maker in the room, and the bedding was a sheet and a very thin comforter, giving very little warmth. I guess I was expecting all around better quality for the price we paid. It was nice to have a frig and microwave though. (Phone didn't work to get ahold of front desk.)I would seriously think twice about coming back to Mt. Olympus.
