Had a week long stay. Enjoyed our time there. Pool was cold and most people flocked to the warm water pool not very big so I was not one of them. The maids were 5 star. I tipped each day and was happy I did because they were excellent. Front office staff were welcoming and professional. Enjoyed the interaction. Reservation manager was awesome. I also appreciate the front staff forget her name but let us know that the pool deck room was not worth the upgrade because the water would be very cold. When we return I think we will seek ocean view. We did get pool view which was very nice overlooking the grotto bar. Pretty sure we will return
The location is fabulous. The amenities are poor at best. The folks working there are very friendly and helpful. The property is obviously very old. They have not maintained it well. The bed didn't have a sheet!!!? Very loud property, the walls and doors are very thin and you hear EVERYTHING. Wouldn't recommend staying here.
The Island was a very nice place. We came down for a Softball tournament from Kentucky. The rooms were nice and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The kids love the games and activities they have daily. Jett was a great DJ and very friendly with the kids. We will definitely be back.
This resort is incredible!! I came with some friends for a bachelorette and it was so beautiful and relaxing 🤍 The food and beverage director, Alex Giannios, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He personally gave us a tour of the gorgeous property and anticipated our every need and desire. He even had our room upgraded for our special celebration! The entire staff went above and beyond to make our bride to be feel special. Mike Brewer was by far the best bartender we have ever had, as well as Becca from the beach bar. This was definitely a vacation for the books! I cannot recommend this place enough 👏 I wish I could give it more than five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is our first night and our first morning but it's been great so far. Definitely comfortable pillows and comfortable beds. Great view of the pool. Very friendly staff. Here for a Good Friend and coworker's wedding. Happy he's picking up the bar tab.
Great vibes at the pool. Jet made it so fun. delicious food, awesome drinks and clean rooms. Definitely will be coming back. Staff is also super friendly. They have games for kids and 3 different pools. The big pool with the bar, a warm pool and a kiddy pool.
We only stayed here one night however, the room my daughter and I stayed in was not great. When we entered the room, the bleach smell was so strong I had to keep the door open for a good 15 minutes. The floors were still wet, from I’m assuming cleaning/mopping and had to use a towel from the room to dry the entire floor. After it was dried, the towel was black! Floors appeared to be cleaned but were disgusting. The shower was dirty so we did not bother using. Unfortunately, the main pool with waterfall was not heated and was too cold to use. Elevators from parking garage did not work. We had to carry our suitcases and bags down two flights of stairs. Overall the property is pretty nice as it sits right on the beach. I understand it was February, however, many things listed on website were unavailable. Restaurant inside lobby is very nice, had live music and staff was nice. We tried ordering room service but they never answered so we walked over instead and sat at a table. Don’t think we’ll stay here again, but it was our best option as we were heading to PCB the rest of the week.
Stayed for 5 nights and if we were to come back to the area would definitely stay elsewhere for the price. This is not a 4 star hotel as google seems to think. The rooms were basic and clean enough, but the walls are PAPER THIN. You can hear your neighbors loud and clear (especially if they are fighting at 1am like ours) and even 5 doors down from the ice machine we might as well have had it inside the room. 2 hangers for the whole room and really no place to actually unpack any clothes. The shower has no actual door, we did use a towel outside of it, but it still gets water onto the floor (and rain showers are not the luxury everyone pretends they are). The bed creaked LOUDLY every time you moved to the point where I thought it was possibly broken and tried to sleep like a corpse to avoid the noise. We should have done more research, but the website and social media push the large grotto pool, and we assumed that was the heated one....there is a smaller pool that is heated. That was disappointing because we were paying for the resort fees and not being able to use the amenities we were paying for in the weather we had (in warmer weather this would not have been an issue). The heated pool was always full of kids since it was the only pool that could be used, so we also did not get to enjoy that either. The website also pushes you to sign up for their rewards program and you select rewards (1 night free parking, welcome drinks, and a discount chair rental) and we didn't receive any of that. I'm not even sure you could apply a chair rental because it appears to be ran by an outside company (they did not allow room charges). When we checked in we were told there was a $150 charge that we would get refunded if the room was not damaged, it's been 4 days since we left and haven't seen that back either. The hotel has signs on the doors and notes that there is no smoking at the resort but that is not enforced AT ALL. We sat at the outdoor bar one afternoon with people smoking, and could smell smoke on our balcony constantly. The proximity to the beach and other local attractions and the airport was nice, the younger girl at the front desk who checked us in and out was friendly, but overall, this was not the stay we were hoping for.
