While traveling home after a sad personal loss, the ladies of the Mount Vernon Tourism and Visitor’s Bureau were my shining stars after having a very bad Friday the 13th. Eileen, Angela and Anna assisted me in continuing my journey by charging my phone, printing out “old school” paper maps and making hotel reservations to my next destination. They gave me water and cookies, but most of all brightened my spirit by showing me compassion and true midwestern kindness. They’ll never know how much I needed that. Thank you ladies.
