I stopped here to check out the Osage Trail Legacy sculptures and interpretive trail, which was interesting. To get to that, you need to go through the Visitor Center and there I met two interesting people. Other than taking some brochures for some of the stops on my journey - they have EVERYPLACE here! - I started a long conversation with the attendant and her friend that was quite interesting. This was a great stop and I'm really glad I was here.
This was a delightful little stop for our large family. The woman working was so friendly and hospitable, offering us a space to eat lunch indoors. (There are no picnic tables.) There are lots of brochures for many states and cozy chairs. The loop around the Osage sculptures was informative and good for littles to stretch their legs. Bathrooms were very clean.
What a little gem! We stopped in here during our week in Cuba and Elaine was so helpful, informative, and kind. The visitor center has nice clean restrooms, and the lobby is pleasant with a big fireplace and plenty of windows. There are brochures for days filled with ideas for your trip. MO is packed with history so be sure to stop in and collect a few more places to see while in the area. And sign the guestbook. It helps them get the grant money they need to stay open.
The ladies working were super sweet. Lots of fun educational information can be found here and SNACKS.
Neat stop. Clean facilities, tons of resources for your visit, and friendly staff! My family loved stopping in to view some history and check out some local raves! Highly recommended!
Great visitor center! Unlike other visitor centers this one has great resources such as menus from the diners in Cuba. It is also provides state guidebooks and maps to about 30 other states, which helps you plan your entire trip. The folks that staff the visitor center are extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions. In addition, there's a very informative video about the Osage Indians and their trail to Oklahoma. As you drive up to the center you can't miss the large statues of Osage Indians travelling west. It's gorgeous and impressive.
The Cuba Vustor's Center is a great place to check out what the Cuba area and Missouri has to offer. They staff were really friendly and helpful with giving us local information that made our stop in Cuba take a little longer and more enjoyable. Cuba, MO is home to some pretty cool murals that have been painted on some of the buildings throughout down town. They are great artwork and you should have a look. Outside of town, there is Fanning Outpost General Store that has the 2nd largest rocking chair in the world. It is also worth the stop, not just for the chair, but for their BBQ flavored popcorn.
It has a beautiful sculpture and very friendly, informative staff.
