Been here multiple times and always have a great time. Just watch out for crowds this place can get busy but its Cedar Point of course its crowded its ohio's best tourist attraction. If you are spending 2 nights or more and are willing to spend the money you got to stay at the Hotel Breakers its a really nice hotel and gets you into the park 1 hour earlier for a couple coasters that open early for hotel guests.
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and love it. Prices have definitely increased a lot. Definitely try to come during slow season so you aren’t waiting in lines for hours on end in the sun. Also recommend bringing a cooler of your own food to save on money.
My daughter and I are coaster enthusiasts and she wanted to go here for a birthday trip. I had been several years before and loved it. This time we got to go during their Halloween event and WOW! Shows and haunted walkthroughs were absolutely amazing, they updated some coasters, and had a good food selection. We ended up buying season passes, stayed an extra day and...even better...the passes are now good at King's Dominion AND Six Flags theme parks as of 2025, which are a lot closer us. We have another trip planned in 2025. Best coasters we've been on and best season pass value!
This place has a lot of rides and it is mainly geared towards thrill seekers. But there are 3 large family areas. But the live entertainment at Cedar Point is fantastic for families as well. They offer a wide variety from large spectacles to smaller scale shows. The coaster lineup here is impressive. But the flat ride collection here is also very large. Hotel breakers is on property and is very nice it is worth the price. Since cedar point does not pro ide transport from there other hotel locations stay at breakers to avoid the drive in every morning which can be chaotic. The parking lot at Cedar point is massive and rarely fills up.
Cedar Point is often hailed as the "holy land" of amusement parks, and after our visit, it's easy to see why. With the most roller coasters of any park, thrill-seekers are in for a treat, and the park’s location along Lake Erie adds a stunning backdrop to the adrenaline-pumping rides. The views are spectacular, and it's hard to beat the mix of coaster excitement with lake scenery. We visited over Labor Day weekend, and arriving Friday afternoon was a smart move—it wasn't too crowded, so we got to enjoy several rides without long waits. However, the rest of the weekend was packed, and we only managed to get on a few more rides. If you're planning a trip during a busy weekend, I highly recommend getting there early in the weekend to take advantage of lighter crowds. The roller coasters themselves are fantastic, but we were pretty disappointed that their newest coaster, which we were looking forward to, wasn’t open yet. After driving seven hours, we were hoping to experience it, so that was a bit of a letdown. Food-wise, Cedar Point offers a good variety. While it’s solid overall, I’d rank it behind Universal, Disney, and Kings Dominion when it comes to theme park dining. Still, you won’t go hungry here, and there are some tasty options. The staff was always friendly, and the park was consistently clean, adding to the experience. One regret from our trip is not taking advantage of the exit that leads to the beach on Lake Erie. It looked like a fun way to take a break from the rides, and I’ll definitely try to fit that in on our next visit. Overall, Cedar Point lives up to its reputation with world-class coasters, great views, and a fun atmosphere. Just make sure to plan around the crowds if you're going on a holiday weekend!
One of my favorite amusement parks! Make sure (if you can swing it) to get a fast pass because it’s really the only way to ride all of the rides (that you want to ride) unless you plan to visit multiple days. I’ve been here several times throughout the years and unless you’re local and have a season pass, (also highly recommended, even if you’re not local) you’re not going to want to wait in several-hour-long lines to ride the newest attractions, but even if you have to, as I have always done in the past, you’ll still have a good time- it’s just an EVEN BETTER TIME with a fast pass. I recommend getting a season pass at the end of the season (I got ours in August) because you can use it for the rest of the season AND it’s good through the following season- my season pass that I bought August of 2024 is good though December of 2025! Another great thing about the season passes is that it includes admission to LOTS of other parks and will include six flags parks as of this year (2025). I’m from Michigan where there is a really decent park called Michigan’s Adventure and my Cedar Point season pass includes admission to that park too! This last year we also visited King’s Island in Mason, OH- also included with the season pass! Please ignore (or enjoy) our running commentary in the videos posted 🤣😬
Loved it. Can't wait to go back. Kids had so much fun. We stayed at Hotel Breakers a little on the expensive side (family if 6) but it was very nice. We plan on trying the Cabins at lighthouse point next time.
I’ve had an opportunity to experience similar parks scattered through the US, EU, & Asia and I must say I was certainly surprised as my expectations were exceeded. One thing that stood out was the high energy level & sincere appreciation reflected by most staff. My only recent comparison is from Disney & Universal, where the seemed more matter of fact & Cedar point staffers seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Either I drank some magic potion or had a bias. This place has literally been in my backyard (2 hours away) for 12 years and I’ve not given it an opportunity thinking it was just a hyped up carnival…oh was I wrong. I believe their niche is thrill rides. Most of the park consisted of high speed roller coasters, yet it still had a great mixture of smaller shows, water rides, a rides geared toward the smaller crowd (Peanut’s Snoopy area) which is great if your family has young & younger. The cleanliness level was superior! Ride lines were much more endurable vs. Disney or Universal (on average 20-30 minutes). In terms of value, a season’s pass is less than the cost of a daily ticket in Orlando. Food selection was better than average & less than you’d pay at a major sports venue. Thanks for reading my stream of conscious jabber. In short both my 8 year old son and I give this place two thumbs up! Lastly, there are more things and places to go nearby for the family…think a scaled down Pidgeon Forge.
